The now iconic Aquanaut family began in 1997 with the 5060A, which was soon regarded as the younger sibling of the then twenty-one year old Nautilus. The young and modern distinctive dimensions of the Aquanaut perfectly encapsulated the mood at the end of the 1990s with the statement grenade-patterned dial and “tropical” rubber strap attracting attention. 2004 saw a distinctly feminine version of the Aquanaut appear with the Luce (Italian for “light”) sparkling with colourless brilliants set into the bezel. Fast forward to 2021 and Patek Philippe have revisited this feminine offering with the 5267/200A-011, which commands attention with a statement 38.8m stainless steel case that has been expertly polished and satin finished. This larger case size features 1.11ct of sparkling colourless brilliant cut diamonds that have been expertly hand set into the bezel. Patek Philippe have truly mastered the technique of setting diamonds into steel, which requires specialist tools and consummate skill to achieve perfectly. A khaki green embossed grenade-patterned dial exudes the freshness of spring, and is perfectly complemented by a khaki green composite strap.
