Jean Todt was one of the first and still one of the most prominent people to wear Richard Mille. In 2018, to celebrate 50 years active in the world of motorsports RM released 3 limited editions to Honour the legend, The RM011 03, RM056 and RM050. Only 150 pieces were made of the RM11-03. The unique case is made of blue Quartz TPT using 600 layers of silica, each only 45 microns thick, are stacked and impregnated with a blue resin, before being heated to 120 °C. The result is an extremely light and resistant case, resembling in many ways the body of a high-performance race car.
